Austin + Nicole were one of the FIRST couples I ever photographed, back when they were just dating! They’ve been together since high school, and this was the day it was made clear to me how special their love is. Their wedding took place in the scenic rolling hills of Paso Robles at Spanish Oaks Ranch. Inspired by an Al Fresco ceremony and dinner in the warm summer breeze, their magical day was surrounded by miles of established oak trees, wild golden grass, and their favorite people.
When I asked Austin how he was feeling 10 minutes before the ceremony started as he looked out the upstairs window towards all the guests awaiting his arrival, (normally where people express their nerves and I get to pump them up) he turned to me and with the most confident voice I’ve ever heard said, “I am SO ready, let’s do this!”
A smile swept across his face and the joy was radiating — I asked if he was going to cry and he laughed, “Oh yeah, like a baby.”
The ceremony was incredible, sneaking off to take pictures with them in the open fields was incredible, and so was dancing the night away! The love these two share is incomparable. It’s pure and deep, easy-going and merry, and so easily celebrated. Genuinely, this was one of my heart’s favorite wedding days to capture.
