Rob & Monica's Engagement Session

Rob + Monica absolutely love:

1. cozy fall + winter days

2. being surrounded by gorgeous nature

3. snowboarding on free weekends together

(and they met at school in Colorado!)

This made Big Bear the PERFECT place for their engagement session.

We made an adventure out of the entire day — circumnavigating the lake, spontaneously pulling off the road for dazzling spots, and hiking quickly to the top of a boulder formation ( 1 mile, steep incline, hiking shoes on, shirt off for Rob ), chasing the last bit of sunlight. If you saw my instagram story that day, you knew how crazy it was!

It was intense and it was incredible — Rob + Monica instantly became my dear friends as we laughed, shared stories, and made plans for 2020 snowboarding trips ;). They seriously have the sweetest souls + the sweetest love, my heart just explodes for these two!

Another crazy story I have to share:

The Den & Jen Team ( my parents! ) just helped them buy their first home after I introduced them to each other — and come to find out, my parents ALSO helped Monica’s parents buy THEIR first home together 30 years ago — back when Monica’s parents were getting married at 25 years old! Absolutely incredible how God works, reconnecting our families years and years later! I cannot WAIT to photograph Rob + Monica’s Malibu wedding this October, and continue making memories with them as new local neighbors!

So with all this said, grab a warm drink, cozy on up before Spring hits, and enjoy their winter engagement!
